Program Overview

The Master's 1+1 Program Application under the Master's 1+1 Program Agreement is intended for graduate students from partner universities who will enroll in the Graduate School of the University of Aizu for a minimum of one year and pursue a master's degree solely at the University of Aizu.

Steps for Students

????1. Access Application Information:

????2. Prepare Application Documents:
????Complete all required application forms and supporting documents in accordance with the application guidelines.

????3. Check Required Documents:
????Use the Checklist for Students (PDF) [Updated on February 5, 2026] to confirm that all required documents are complete and correctly prepared.

????4. Submit to Home Institution:
????Submit the complete application package to the International Office at your home institution.

Steps for Partner Universities

????1. Review Student Applications:
????Review all application documents submitted by students.

????2. Verify Application Completeness:
????Confirm that each application is complete and compliant using the Checklist for the International Office (PDF). [Updated on February 5, 2026]

????3. Compile Application Files:
????Combine all verified documents for each applicant into a single file.

????4. Submit Applications via the System First for Review, then Send Hard-Copy Materials:
????Upload the complete application file through the University of Aizu online system by the electronic submission deadline for initial review.
????After confirmation, send the complete hard-copy application materials by post to the Student Recruiting Section by the hard-copy submission deadline.

Important Notes

  • The password to access the Checklist files will be sent via email to the International Office at the home institution.
  • Deadlines for the Master's 1+1 Program are earlier than standard admission deadlines. Please confirm the applicable deadlines listed in the checklist.
